Kazoku Jiu Jitsu http://www.kazokudojo.ca The Ottawa Valley's Source for Self Defence Tue, 13 Jul 2021 23:35:39 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=5.5.15 Arnprior restarts! http://www.kazokudojo.ca/arnprior-restarts/ Tue, 13 Jul 2021 23:35:37 +0000 http://www.kazokudojo.ca/?p=144 In case you didn’t see the posts on the Kazoku dojo Facebook page, we’re looking to restart in Arnprior on August 9th. There will be some extra rules in place, such as masks for non-participants and non-training times, names will be taken at the door, and the mats will be cleaned between classes. Adult class will be only one hour due to this last change. But we will once again be able to have full contact on the mats! Please let Sensei Rob know if you are interested.

Summer Circuit Series http://www.kazokudojo.ca/summer-circuit-series/ Mon, 19 Aug 2019 03:52:03 +0000 http://www.kazokudojo.ca/?p=139 The warm ups have been pretty good in the Arnprior club this summer. We’ve been showing how dedication and practice can improve your performance by taking a standard set of exercises, and by doing them each week, show a measurable change to the positive in performance of each exercise throughout the summer.

For those that wish to follow along, here is the warm up for the Arnprior club with the best score in brackets beside each (perform as many of each exercise as you can in one minute, with 30 seconds for rest in between):

*Note: these are not all the same person or week

  • Standard Push Ups (45)
  • Standard Sit Ups (46)
  • Tiger Push Ups – from downward dog – head to hands (17)
  • Scorpions – from prone – head up, arms out (48)
  • Burpees (24)
  • Body Weight Squats (55)
  • Plank (4:16)

Enjoy your warm ups!
